THE QALANDARIYA SILSILA OF BABA SULTAN

The Qalandariya Silsila of Baba Sultan has both Qalandar and non-Qalandar-like seekers. Some of Baba's students work in the world unnoticed.  They go about their daily lives as unrecognized members of this Silsila.  Truth calls out to all creation and works uniquely in each individual.  Those in Baba Sultan's Silsila are expected to live and work seeking Allah (God) first and foremost, while showing respect, love, compassion and mercy to ALL of Allah's (God’s) creations. 

To seek God with all one's heart, in thoughts, words, actions, and doing one’s best to unselfishly love every creation are strict requirements of this Silsila.  Striving to reflect the qualities of God who is All and Only Good, this is the Qalandariya path.  This "Way" requires constant, consistent work, vigilance and sacrifice of all that is unreal. The work is done deeply within each person's own nature.  Step by step, with the grace of the Almighty, the unreal is rooted out.  Baba Sultan's students travel the path of loving kindness and compassion, the path of an open heart, the path to know God/Good, and realize completely that God is ALL.

  "Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth.  The parable of Allah's light may be likened to the radiance emitting from a pillar on which is a lamp encased in glass, shining like a brilliant star: (This lamp is) lit from a blessed olive-tree (an ancient emblem of peace) standing open, never lost to view.  It is not confined to the East nor to the West, the oil whereof (is so bright that) it would well-nigh give off light even though no fire touches it.  Majestic light, splendorous light, Light upon Light! Allah guides unto His Light him that wills (to be guided) and (to this end) Allah sets forth parables unto people, and Allah is Knower of all things."

Holy Qur'an 24:35

ALLAH IS ALL LOVING, AND EVER PRESENT, ALL POWERFUL, EVERLASTING BEAUTY, ALL KINDNESS, GENTLENESS, WISDOM, SWEETNESS, ALL AND ONLY GOOD, ALL LIGHT, ALL ORDER AND HARMONY, ALL PEACE, TRUTH, LOVE;  ALLAH IS THE ONE, THE ONLY ONE, ALL IN ALL!

Allah knows best the Way his creations.  May each follow to the best of their ability the path formed by the Beloved!  To Allah belongs all Praise, Glory, Honor, LOVE, forever and ever. ALHAMDULILLAH!
