God is Here, There, Everywhere

by, Pir  M.A. Kashoo

Shun these idols

shed these rituals

open your mind’s eye

God is here, there, everywhere

Heed the message Prophets brought

Read Qur'an, a timeless guide

Shun your ego

shed your desires

Hold your Murshid’s hand

to ascend the plane divinity holds over

Let your Murshid show you the realm

where nothingness is the ultimate truth

Drink copiously

at the font of perseverance

Trek the arduous path

that leads to the seat of glory

Let your sufferings inspire you to sustain

Each breath permeates

the multi-layered link

connecting you to God

And, takes you closer and closer

to the kingdom of the Prophet (pbah)

Declaring insistently

God is here, there, everywhere

You are but a part of the whole

the epitome of the universe

expression of God’s very own being

Feel the bond coursing through you

And then, would God speak

through you.

Open your mind’s eye

God is here there, everywhere

                         Longing’s Kiss

By, Saleema E. G.

Invisible Partner, Waking Friend

Your cupped hands apprehend

the aching, as they hold the

holy tears that Lovers drop.

Unseen hands softer then fleece

warmer than a sun blessed field

withhold the kiss of peace,

and allow burning hearts

to wonder seemingly alone

through darkened

worldly corridors.

Yet, Yearning’s tones

entice my soul;

bowing low I call for more!

                                 Longing!  Praiseworthy

smile on my Lover’s face,

You  offer me a taste

of my Beloved’s breath

and promise sudden death

to wanton lies that seek to hide

my Moonfaced God.
